How to exchange money:
In Baku, banks are open from 9:00-9:30 to 17:30. You can exchange money in banks and hotels. On public holidays and weekends, banks and their branches in hotels do not work. Many banks charge a fee for transactions, but the larger the amount, the less overpayment. In addition to banks, money can be exchanged at hotels and numerous currency exchange points (located throughout the capital and other major cities, as well as at airports). ATMs are available in most banks in the capital of Azerbaijan, many of them operate around the clock. Some stores have their own exchange offices. Cards with Mastercard, VISA and MIR payment systems, issued by Russian banks, do not work in the country, so you need to bring cash with you, preferably in currency.
